Security Officer Gated Community

Seeking unarmed security officers for full and part-time afternoon and overnight shifts in Oak Brook or Burr Ridge. Weekend work is required, with consecutive off days during the week. Must be available to hold over for up to four hours if needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and understand general and emergency post instructions for assigned locations.
• Follow access control procedures set by management and utilize access control systems, visitor management systems, and CCTV.
• Document and report property damage and special occurrences.
• Monitor CCTV to prevent theft and trespassing.
• Respond to incidents and document events accurately.
• Greet residents and visitors professionally and manage guest/vendor sign-in/out.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional image at all times.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and observation skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in all situations.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Minimum age of 21 with a high school diploma/GED or military service record.
• Valid Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC) or willingness to apply for one.
• 20-hour training certificate or completion within 30 days of employment.
• Pass a pre-employment screening, including drug screening.
• Adhere to professional grooming standards and maintain a mature demeanor.
• Strong customer service and public relations skills, with the ability to interact with diverse cultures.
• Basic computer knowledge and a working telephone at all times.
• Reliable transportation.

Pay

Up to $19.50 per hour.

Schedule

• 8-hour shifts (afternoon or overnight).
• Weekend availability required.
