Security Officer - Gate Attendant

About the role

The Security Officer (Gate Attendant) assists in maintaining a secure environment by monitoring premises, enforcing regulations, and responding to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce access control procedures.
• Patrol assigned areas to ensure compliance with safety and security protocols.
• Respond to and resolve conflicts, de-escalate situations, and report suspicious activities.
• Ensure adherence to post orders and complete assigned rounds.
• Provide customer service and information to clients’ employees and guests.
• Utilize technology devices throughout the shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Resolve safety issues and hazardous conditions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Above-average computer and technology skills.
• Experience in security, law enforcement, or military preferred.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure.
• Attention to detail and vigilance throughout the shift.
• Professional demeanor.
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment screening, including drug tests and background checks.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of security systems and practices.
• Understanding of emergency response procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff.
• Physical ability to perform job duties, including standing, walking, and lifting.

Pay

$20.00 per hour.

Schedule

35 hours per week. Sun: 2PM - 9:15PM, Mon: 4PM - 9:15PM, Thurs - Sat: 2PM - 9:15PM.
