About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Visitor Credentialing in Jersey City, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. You will also work as a Front Desk Officer at a financial institution location, welcoming visitors, managing access control, verifying credentials, and supporting a professional, secure environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at a financial institution by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and front desk policies.
  • Greet visitors, verify identification and appointment information, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and access records.
  • Monitor access points, receive and direct phone calls, and communicate professionally with building personnel and authorized contacts.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
  • Report unusual activity, access concerns, and security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel and complete required documentation.

Requirements

  • Have at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
