Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Protective Patrol

About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a public transportation location in Rochester, NY, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for passengers, employees, and visitors. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate clearly, and provide exceptional customer service while representing Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, care, and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and transit personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities at transportation facilities.
- Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, vehicle staging areas, buildings, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting suspicious conditions, hazards, and security-related concerns according to site procedures.
- Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities in clear, accurate reports, and assist law enforcement, emergency responders, and authorized transit personnel when requested.
Requirements
- Possess 2+ years of security-related experience.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$20.28 / hour
