About the Role

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Perimeter Security in Chesapeake, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while helping create a welcoming environment. Pay & Schedule

• Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour
• Position Type: Full Time
• Schedule: DayTime, Mon 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Tue 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Wed 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Sun 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and support visitor, contractor, and delivery procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and/or unusual activity accurately and report security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
