Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Verification

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy distribution location in Disputanta, VA, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and drivers. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related needs with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the distribution facility, loading docks, parking areas, employee entrances, trailer areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe the movement of employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities through required reports and/or electronic systems.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
