As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Services in Harrisburg, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. You will monitor and patrol a retail location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security‑related incidents, provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with visitors and staff, and respond to routine security‑related concerns.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to store personnel, customers, and visitors while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and policies.
- Monitor retail sales floor, entrances, exits, and surrounding areas for unusual activity, policy concerns, or potential loss‑prevention issues.
- Respond to incidents, customer disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established procedures and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
- Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
