Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Response

About the Role

As a Full Time Unarmed Patrol Response Security Officer in Chesapeake, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and provide outstanding customer service while supporting a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials and/or authorization in accordance with site procedures, and document security-related observations, incidents, and patrol activity.
• Support a professional workplace environment by providing directions, communicating site policies, and reporting maintenance, access control, or other security-related issues to appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
