About the role
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer supporting a government transportation location in Seattle, WA, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors with professionalism and clear communication. You will help support a welcoming, secure environment while responding to concerns and documenting observations.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
- Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, surrounding perimeter, and other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points, observe public areas for unusual conditions or behaviors, and document security-related incidents in accordance with site procedures.
- Assist with directing visitors, providing information, and supporting orderly operations while maintaining a professional presence.
Requirements
- Possess at least two years of security-related experience.
- Handcuffing certification is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
