Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Access Verification

About the Role

As a Security Officer at a utilities location in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents, supporting access control activities, and providing exceptional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation, and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$17.00 per hour.
