About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government airport location in Columbus, OH, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors with professionalism and care. You will support access control activities, communicate clearly with staff and travelers, and use computer or tablet systems as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established airport and government location protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal areas, public access spaces, parking facilities, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, unattended items, hazards, and security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Complete accurate activity reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership, airport operations, and emergency responders as directed.
Requirements
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Thursday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
