Security Officer Full Time Unarmed First Aid Patrol

About the role

As a Full Time Unarmed First Aid Patrol Security Officer in San Mateo, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and report security-related concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a financial services location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, common spaces, entry points, parking areas, and the building perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying visitor credentials, directing guests, and maintaining accurate visitor and incident documentation.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related risks to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
