Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Customer Assistance Patrol

About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Customer Assistance Patrol in East Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while contributing to a welcoming, professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing and industrial facilities, loading areas, parking lots, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying visitor and contractor authorization, maintaining visitor records, and reporting unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns in accordance with Allied Universal and site reporting requirements.

Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Have customer service experience (preferred).
• Hold CPR and/or First Aid certification (preferred).
• Have access control and/or badge experience (preferred).
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$18.00 per hour.
