Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Assistance Patrol

About the role
As an Unarmed Security Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. You will use clear communication and computer or tablet tools to support site operations while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, parking facilities, entry points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and report irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and complete required reports.
- Communicate professionally with site contacts, visitors, and first responders while supporting a welcoming and orderly environment.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
