Security Officer Full Time - Swing Shift

About the role

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to concerns with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, drivers, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs for deliveries, shipments, and personnel entering or leaving the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and timely reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities, while maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized activity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
