Security Officer Full -Time Secret Clearance Required

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic aerospace and defense location in Dulles, VA, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, help to deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. This driving post offers the opportunity to use clear communication and access-control skills while contributing to a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and authorized contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, access concerns, or facility hazards.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized personnel and visitors in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs accurately and promptly.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

$27.05 / hour
