Security Officer Full Time Second Shift Hours

About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time in St Louis Park, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide outstanding customer service to tenants and visitors. Your visible presence and clear communication will help deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property management personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to commercial real estate facilities, including verifying visitor credentials, issuing access credentials, and documenting entries and exits in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate personnel as directed by site policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building entrances, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, visitor logs, and incident documentation while communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
