About the role
As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Specialist in Somerset, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and/or deliveries in accordance with established access-control and screening protocols.
- Monitor entry points and restricted areas, verify credentials, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific escalation procedures.
- Maintain accurate screening, visitor, incident, and shift activity records while helping to deter prohibited items and unauthorized entry.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
