Security Officer Full Time Screener

About the role

As a Full Time Screener in Pooler, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. In this fast-paced environment, you will help support a secure setting by screening people and property, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. Your visible presence, professional communication, and customer service will help deter incidents while supporting smooth operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and vehicles entering designated areas in accordance with established access-control procedures.
• Inspect packages, shipments, and personal items as directed by site policies, reporting prohibited or suspicious items to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, building access points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
