Security Officer Full Time Property Patrol

About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Property Patrol in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and facility conditions in accordance with site procedures, reporting unusual activity or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Requirements

• Possess at least two years of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Possess the necessary licensing as per state and/or local laws and regulations.

Skills

• Ability to respond calmly and professionally to incidents and emergencies.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
• Ability to conduct thorough patrols and document findings accurately.
