About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Screening in Sunnyvale, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience through strong customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions according to site guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, common areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report unusual behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contact.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Skills

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet.
  • Experience with loss prevention.
  • Experience with X-ray screening.
  • Experience with access control and badge systems.
