About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Risk Assessment in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for employees, customers, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and emergency responders
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, verifying authorization and directing guests to appropriate areas
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs related to patrols, incidents, and security-related observations

Requirements

• Have at least two years of security-related experience
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED
• Be at least 21 years of age
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law

Qualifications

• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred
• CPR certification is preferred
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
