Security Officer - Full Time Patrol

About the role

As a Full Time Patrol Security Officer in Champaign, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and site operations. This role provides exceptional customer service, communicates clearly with employees and visitors, and contributes to a team that acts with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and assist with maintaining orderly entry and exit procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following site procedures and promptly reporting relevant details.
• Document patrols, observations, incidents, and security-related concerns through clear and accurate reports, and communicate with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$20.60 / hour

• Monday: 08:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Tuesday: 03:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thursday: 03:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Friday: 03:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sunday: 08:00 AM - 03:00 PM
