Security Officer - Full Time Patrol

About the role
Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a commercial real estate location in Franklin Park, IL. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and tenants by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial real estate buildings, common areas, parking facilities, loading docks, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and support visitor, contractor, and vendor entry procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs for incidents, patrols, and unusual conditions observed during the shift.
Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$21.34 / hour

- Thursday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
- Friday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
- Saturday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
- Sunday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
