Security Officer Full Time Patrol

About the role

As a Full Time Patrol Security Officer in Jefferson City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to shoppers and staff. You will communicate clearly, respond to concerns, and support a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to identify unusual activity and deter theft or unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and observe activity within the location, reporting suspicious conditions, hazards, policy violations, and incidents according to site procedures.
• Assist with documenting incidents and communicating relevant information to site management, law enforcement, and/or emergency responders as directed.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
