Security Officer Full Time Overnight Patrol

About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Assessment in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and travelers. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to situations as they arise.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a transportation-related location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, including building exteriors, perimeter areas, access points, parking areas, and transportation operations locations.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, check credentials as directed, and report unauthorized activity or irregular conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols and communicating with supervisors and/or emergency responders.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site reporting procedures.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
