Security Officer Full Time Overnight Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location in Sanford, NC, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for employees and visitors. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly, and use technology to document security-related activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouse spaces, offices, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing visitors and deliveries, and documenting entries and exits in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Observe and report security-related conditions, property damage, suspicious activity, and policy violations to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
