Job Description
As a Security Officer Patrol Driver in Sandy Level, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Security Officer at a utilities location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access awareness throughout the site. What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access activity support, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance, lighting, and/or operational issues.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and support vehicle and pedestrian traffic flow in accordance with site policies and post instructions.
- Communicate with site personnel, first responders, and/or Allied Universal team members during routine operations and critical situations, while completing required logs, reports, and other security-related documentation.
Minimum Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
