Security Officer Full Time Key Control

About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Key Control in Pontiac, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and assist visitors and employees with exceptional service. Your visible presence and clear communication will help support a secure environment and help deter security-related incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to facilities, restricted areas, and visitor entry points by verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, maintaining access logs, and following established escalation procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, lobbies, parking areas, and the business perimeter to identify and report security-related concerns and help to deter unauthorized access.
• Maintain accurate records of visitor activity, deliveries, incidents, and access control concerns in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal reporting requirements.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
