About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will support a dynamic retail and mall location in Miami, FL. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, assist visitors and tenants with outstanding customer service, and communicate observations with professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points, observe activity within the location, and report suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, or policy violations according to site procedures.
- Document incidents, patrols, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- 21 years of age or older.
- A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
