Security Officer Full Time Hospital Patrol

About the role

Allied Universal® is seeking a full‑time Unarmed Patrol Officer to provide security services at a healthcare facility in Elkridge, MD. The position involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, responding to security‑related concerns, and delivering courteous customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and other guests by carrying out security‑related procedures, location‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility grounds, buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas, reporting unusual conditions and maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with facility procedures, helping to maintain an orderly and welcoming environment.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and daily activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements

• At least one year of security‑related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screening as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply based on state or local regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Pay

$18.36 per hour.

Schedule

• Monday: 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM
• Tuesday: 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM
• Wednesday: 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Sunday: 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM
