Security Officer Full Time - General Duty

About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time - General Duty in Spartanburg, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, donors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, donor or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorization as required, and maintain awareness of persons entering or leaving the facility.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
