Security Officer - Full Time Gate Access

As a Security Officer Driver Gate Operations in Watsonville, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor activity, and provide professional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with team members. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for patients, visitors, staff, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with hospital procedures.
• Assist with visitor management activities, including providing directions, issuing visitor credentials, and communicating applicable access requirements.
• Respond to access-related incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate hospital personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, entrances, and surrounding areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Requirements

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
