Security Officer Full Time Foot Patrol

About the role

As a Full Time Foot Patrol Security Officer in Bartow, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication at a chemical and petrochemical location.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, access points, operational areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate security-related logs and incident reports.
• Observe site conditions during patrols, report hazards, damaged equipment, and unusual activity, and follow required personal protective equipment requirements for assigned areas.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$18.50 per hour.
