Security Officer - Full Time Foot Patrol

About the role
As a Full Time Patrol Response Security Officer in Rancho Cordova, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and support a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of distribution areas, loading docks, parking areas, access points, and the exterior perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
- Monitor access to the location by observing personnel, visitors, drivers, and vehicles, verifying credentials or delivery documentation in accordance with site-specific procedures.
- Document patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities through written reports and/or electronic reporting tools.
Requirements
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
