Security Officer Full Time Day Shift

About the role
As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location in Oak Creek, WI, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and monitor access activity to help maintain a secure environment. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and support security-related operations through teamwork and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific access policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor and control access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
- Observe inbound and outbound vehicle traffic, support gate operations, and report irregularities involving deliveries, trailers, or restricted-access areas.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific escalation and reporting procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking lots, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
Requirements
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
