As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Badge Assistance in Woodside, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, conduct access control activities, and communicate professionally with visitors and personnel. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and/or members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a municipal sanitation location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, vehicle areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as directed, and report suspicious persons, vehicles, packages, or activities according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Assist with emergency response activities, maintain accurate daily activity logs, and communicate observations to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$18.87 per hour.

• Tuesday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Saturday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Sunday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
