About the role
As a Security Officer Full Time Badge Alarm Patrol in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a petrochemical location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and communicate with employees and visitors. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, operational areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter.
- Monitor for unauthorized access, suspicious activity, hazardous conditions, and policy violations, and report observations according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and emergency responders as directed.
- Document patrol activity and incidents through accurate logs and written reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervisors and authorized site contacts.
Requirements
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
