Security Officer - Full Time

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.

Screen individuals, personal belongings, packages, and/or vehicles entering designated areas in accordance with post orders and security-related procedures.

Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or shipping documentation, and report unusual conditions, policy violations, and security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access control issues, prohibited item concerns, and/or escalated interactions.

Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with attention to screening checkpoints, loading and unloading areas, and other operational spaces as assigned.

Requirements

Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Customer service experience is preferred.

The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
