Security Officer - Full Time Armed Patrol Response

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Response in Alexandria, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a public transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with riders and staff, and support a welcoming environment. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at commuter rail facilities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of stations, platforms, parking areas, rail-adjacent property, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with dispatch, law enforcement, emergency personnel, and site representatives as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, passenger areas, and restricted locations; verify credentials and control access in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding incidents, patrols, observations, and interactions, and maintain required armed officer qualifications and equipment in accordance with applicable policies and regulations.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Experience using handcuffs, pepper spray, and a baton is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
