Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol

About the Role

As a Full Time Armed Patrol Security Officer in Buffalo Grove, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment. Professional communication with employees and visitors, response to security concerns, and representation of Allied Universal’s culture through teamwork and integrity are key aspects of this role.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and problem-solving, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing areas, warehouse spaces, access points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and report unusual activity or policy violations.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participation in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Pay

$23.00 per hour.
