Security Officer - Full Time Afternoons

About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Fort Wayne, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. You will monitor and patrol assigned construction-related areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access control activities. You will interact professionally with employees, visitors, and contractors while reporting security-related concerns and providing responsive customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of construction areas, access points, perimeter boundaries, parking areas, and other assigned locations to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor and control access to the location by verifying credentials, directing authorized personnel and deliveries, and documenting visitor and contractor activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, access activity, and security-related observations.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Skills

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Pay

$22.75 / Hour

Daytime, Monday 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Tuesday 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Wednesday 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Saturday 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Sunday 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM
