About the role

As a Security Officer Patrol in Fort Wayne, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and support badge-control activities. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior work areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
  • Monitor access to designated areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and assist with directing guests to appropriate locations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation while following post orders and applicable site procedures.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Qualifications

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Pay

$17.75 / Hour

Schedule

Daytime, Monday through Thursday 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM, and Sunday 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
