Security Officer Full Time Afternoon Patrol

About the role

As a Full Time Patrol Security Officer in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Commercial Real Estate. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. The role involves providing outstanding customer service, communicating professionally with tenants and visitors, and using computer or tablet systems as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of commercial property buildings, common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe building activity; report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required activity reports, incident reports, and daily logs with clear, accurate information in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$19.00 per hour.

• Tuesday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Wednesday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Thursday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Friday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
