Security Officer Full Time Access Systems Coordinator

About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Systems Coordinator in Studio City, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. You will manage access control, greet students, staff, families, and visitors, verify credentials, and support badge procedures. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols, report security-related concerns, and help to deter incidents while delivering outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and families while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for students, employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain visitor logs, issue and collect access credentials as directed, and report access concerns or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established school and Allied Universal protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated entrances, parking areas, campus grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized access and report hazards or maintenance concerns.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
