Security Officer Full Time Access Logging

About the role
As a Full Time Access Logging Security Officer in North Bergen, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. This role involves providing professional customer service and clear communication while working as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter.
- Monitor access to the location by observing visitor, employee, and delivery-driver activity and following site-specific entry and exit procedures.
- Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.
Requirements
- At least two years of security-related experience is required.
- Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
