About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Authorization in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. Your visible presence, clear communication, and attention to detail help deter incidents while supporting security-related operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a technology infrastructure location.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate access and incident logs.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, entry points, perimeter, and restricted areas to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Support the protection of sensitive technology infrastructure by following established visitor escort, delivery, and restricted-area access procedures.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay & Schedule

Pay Rate: $19.29 / Hour. Schedule: Daytime, Monday through Thursday, 05:00 AM – 05:00 PM.
