Security Officer Full Time Access Authorization

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor visitor and vehicle access, and maintain a professional, welcoming presence. You will help to deter security-related incidents through attentive observation, clear communication, and timely reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and delivery documentation, and control entry and exit for personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
• Maintain accurate access-control records, including visitor logs, vehicle activity, and incident documentation, in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and promptly communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated access areas, loading docks, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
