About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Route Assessment in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government. As an unarmed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will conduct routine rounds, report security-related concerns, and collaborate with site personnel.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, visitors, and individuals accessing government services by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned facilities, entry points, common areas, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, directing individuals to appropriate locations and reporting unusual or prohibited activity.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports, maintaining clear communication with supervisors and site personnel.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
