Security Officer FT Evenings

About the role

As a Security Officer at MercyOne Genesis, you will provide a physical presence to prevent and detect adverse conditions that could jeopardize the safety and security of the hospital environment. Your interactions will be with a variety of people, including patients, visitors, staff, and facility assets. You will communicate with complex and sometimes stressful situations, requiring strong interpersonal skills to resolve problems and gain agreement from others.

Responsibilities

• Provide a physical presence to prevent and detect adverse conditions that could jeopardize the safety and security of the hospital environment.
• Communicate with a variety of people, including patients, visitors, staff, and facility assets.
• Interact with complex and sometimes stressful situations, requiring strong interpersonal skills to resolve problems and gain agreement from others.
• Protect the welfare of patients, visitors, staff, and facility assets.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License
• Basic Life Support and CPI within 60 days
• Law enforcement or criminal justice coursework preferred

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent

Pay Range: $18.25 - $27.37
